So, last two weeks, no, last week of school, then a week of finals. It’s going to be a busy week of studying for finals, classes, N3RD Ultimo, and rope swinging…
Last week was pretty sweet. I got a Spanish quiz back (100) and a A on a New Testament extra credit paper. Also, the Ultimate season games ended. We ended 6-0, with one game canceled for rain and never made up. N3RD ended with a 40 point differential, I’m told. Very cool. Now all we have to do is not blow it in the tournament.
Highbridge Film Festival was last night; also very cool. There was nine to ten films presented, I think. Some of them were pretty amazing. My favorite was called Showdown; it was a silent film with a very cool soundtrack of original music. Also, Scott Rohre won an award for special effects in a movie called Visceral. N3RD is very proud…

I feel much better about myself after cleaning my room, washing my clothes, eating Subway, finishing my New Testament paper, listening to The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, doing my taxes, and changing the lightbulb in my room. Phew.
So the results of COMAP are in. We scored one team in as emeritus status, and three honorable mentions. Pretty nice. My team got an honorable mention. I have to say, it was an enjoyable experience overall, and I can’t wait to do it again next year with the experience I gained this year.
I found out about the REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) I’d applied for at NKU. I ended up not getting it, I think in large part because of my late entry. Don’t do that. So now I have to re-shuffle my summer plans. I think I’m still going to stay home for the summer and not sell books. I will probably work part time and take classes at NKU. I’m thinking Spanish and some computer programing something or other. I am SO jealous every time C++ people talk about their class. They make it out to be hell, and I’m sure it is, but I love programming.
I registered for next semester - finally. I arrogantly squandered the benefits of early registration my junior status accrue to me, but since I’m taking two math classes and general physics, I figured it shouldn’t be too hard to make it into two gen ed classes. I’m good to go except for Spanish. It has three sections, two of which are taken up my math classes already. The third is full. It shouldn’t be too hard to make it in though, what with people drop/adding.
Now all I have to do is finish this semester…
